Pooling Strengths from Industry, Academia, Research, and Application to Jointly Build a Zero-Carbon Park Innovation Platform — Multiple Parties Discuss Pathways for Collaborative Development

Release time:2025-12-19 09:50:15

On December 14, 2025, the "Zero-Carbon Park Innovation Platform Cooperative Construction Preliminary Meeting," initiated by Boyang Energy Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully held at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Representatives from the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the School of Electrical Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi Distributed Energy Co., Ltd., Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., among other units, attended the meeting. They engaged in in-depth discussions on the technological pathways, business models, and collaborative mechanisms for zero-carbon park construction.

Currently, the construction of zero-carbon parks has become a crucial lever for implementing the national "dual-carbon" strategy. However, due to its systemic nature and wide professional scope, it is difficult for a single enterprise to undertake independently. Participants unanimously agreed on the urgent need to establish an open collaborative platform integrating technology R&D, engineering design, investment and operation, carbon asset management, and policy coordination, thereby bridging the entire chain of "industry-academia-research-application."

The meeting proposed that this platform would integrate the research strengths of universities in areas such as energy systems, building decarbonization, and smart power distribution; the engineering integration capabilities of design institutes in municipal and comprehensive energy projects; the technological expertise of research institutions in fields like energy storage and waste heat utilization; and the practical experience of investors in project financing and asset operation. Additionally, carbon trading service providers and industry association resources would be introduced to form service capabilities covering the entire lifecycle of zero-carbon parks. Platform members will prioritize cooperation with each other, in compliance with market rules and internal procedures, to jointly develop demonstration projects.

The participants emphasized that zero-carbon parks should not remain merely conceptual or nominal. They must be validated through real-world projects to demonstrate technical feasibility and commercial sustainability. In the future, the platform will focus on the needs of typical parks, providing customized "one-park-one-policy" solutions to avoid simple replication, ultimately forming a replicable, defensible, and profitable implementation paradigm for zero-carbon parks.

It is worth noting that Boyang Energy, as a core implementer of distributed energy projects in parks, will focus on promoting the engineering application of microgrids, photovoltaics, energy storage, and other technologies in park scenarios.

This meeting marks the substantive advancement of the Zero-Carbon Park Innovation Platform. The next steps include accelerating the signing of a cooperative framework agreement and actively inviting more high-quality partners to join, collectively contributing to the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of industrial parks in China.
