The project is the first overseas camp micro-grid project officially signed by Boyang Energy and PowerChina Sinohydro Bureau 3. The project uses photovoltaic micro-grids to solve the electricity problem for the Guinea Aluminum Mine Camp, reduces the original diesel-only power generation cost, saves the construction party’s camp live and construction electricity costs, and responds to the global environmental protection, green energy, energy saving and emission reduction policies .

The project is located on the southeast side of Cape Vega, Republic of Guinea, 210 kilometers away from the capital Conakry and 52 kilometers away from Kamsa Port in the north. It mainly includes mining engineering, port engineering, highway engineering, etc. Due to the relatively backward infrastructure in Guinea and the area where the project is located, there is no power grid coverage. Considering the long construction period of the mine project, the fixed location of the camp, the long sunshine time in Guinea, and the abundant solar energy advantages of climate resources, photovoltaic power generation is the best choice for domestic electricity supply in the project camp.
Boyang is responsible for the design, procurement and construction and installation guidance of the project's micro-grid system. Due to the global epidemic and the inability of technical personnel to be present, the project encountered many difficulties in installation, construction and commissioning. Finally, with the remote support of technical personnel and the strong cooperation of project personnel, the trial operation of the photovoltaic power generation system was successfully realized.
