Distributed wind power generation specifically refers to a distributed power generation system that utilizes wind turbines as distributed power sources, converting wind energy into electrical energy. This system is characterized by small-scale modularization, decentralization, and efficient, reliable power generation modes arranged near users, with power generation ranging from several kilowatts to hundreds of megawatts (some also suggest limiting it to below 30-50 megawatts). It represents a novel and promising approach to power generation and comprehensive energy utilization.
Wind power generation technology, which converts wind energy into electrical energy, can be divided into two categories: standalone and grid-connected operations. The former refers to micro or small wind turbine generators with a capacity ranging from 100W to 10kW, while the latter typically has a capacity exceeding 150kW. Wind power generation technology has advanced rapidly, and technologies with a single-unit capacity below 2MW have become quite mature. As global energy shortages intensify, renewable energy sources are receiving increasing attention. As an important renewable energy source, wind power resources have been further developed and utilized. Wind power generation technology has developed to a relatively mature state today, and its application prospects are becoming increasingly bright amidst the backdrop of global energy depletion. Wind power resources are clean, pollution-free, safe, and controllable, making them a high-quality renewable energy source.
Distributed power generation technology has been widely applied in China.
